Family-owned and operated, Mendham Plywood has served our customers and community in Morris County, New Jersey since 1963.

After serving his country in WWII, founder Herb Schilling and thousands of other GI’s returned home amidst a housing shortage, which in turn, fueled the post-war housing boom.

Using skills honed in the the Army, he launched Mendham Plywood and Building Products to keep pace with the demand.

Since that time, Mendham Plywood has become a trusted source for quality building products with a knowledgable team with deep expertise.

Today, Herb Schilling, Jr., having grown up along side his father in the business, now has the reins, overseeing the continued growth and success of the business.
